The
Sunny Acres
waterfront provides access to the entire Rideau water system
including
the historic Rideau Canal as well as the countless lakes and
streams which
provide some of the most scenic boating in the world. Pleasure
craft can
travel through the many canal locks all the way to Ottawa, the
Nation's
Capital. If you rent a canoe or
kayak,
you can re-trace the voyages of the early explorers, trappers, and
fur
traders of Eastern Ontario.
Rideau boaters and paddlers are invited to dock at Sunny Acres
for gas,
shopping, and minor repairs. Overnight accommodation as available.

Pontoon boats can be rented by
the day
or half-day for fishing or family outings. Boat at right is equipped
with
pedestal seats, aerated livewell, electric trolling motor, rod
holders,
fish/depth finder, and more. Fall expeditions through the autumn
foliage
of rich reds and brilliant golds are perhaps the most breathtaking
of all.
Early to mid-October is the prime time to view and photograph the
fall
scenery.
